Melissa and George's Newborn Session (Florida)

Welcome to the world Christian! :-) I recently had the delight of photographing Melissa and George's newborn session as we welcomed their son, Christian into the world! :-) We chose to incorporate scenes and items from their engagement photo shoot that featured their real life love story and their maternity session so as to pull the whole journey together. You can enjoy their engagement slideshow at: www.shellyedwards.com/MGE I love how Christian had a natural pose in many of the pictures and his personality shone through. I loved both renditions while editing one of his pictures so I included both. We also included a painting that they had of their original homeland, Haiti so as to highlight Christian's roots. George's mother was visiting so I took the time to photograph a precious grandmother-grandson moment.) I absolutely LOVED helping to put on Christian's sneakers! :-) It was very sentimental to me because the reality that it was no longer just an abstract object in a previous photo shoot but to actually see his tiny feet going in them made the reality of his presence all the more real! I find the last picture hilarious because I guess Christian is still getting used to the world and coming to understand that daddy does not have breast milk too! :-) lol Thanks again Melissa and George's for having me share in another of the precious moments of your life! :-) Keep enjoying parenthood!

Tanya and Brian's Wedding Pictures (Florida)

Is that who you think it is? Yes, you're right! :-) Many of you will recognize Tanya as she is the first picture you'll see joyfully welcoming you to my destinations website (www.shellyedwardsdestinations.com) and to my Facebook Fan Page (Shelly Edwards International Photographer). We had an awesome time photographing her bridal sessions in Paris and Venice and I had been looking forward to photographing her wedding. Tanya and her now husband, Brian started off with an intimate beach wedding with their family and then had another ceremony and reception in front of family and friends later that afternoon. It was a beautiful day and I was excited to see the birds flying by the beach as it reminded me of the birds used in Tanya's Venice shoot. It was wonderful seeing how much Tanya and Brian glowed in each other presence and it was heartwarming observing their interaction with their daughters. The reception was beautiful and the up lighting made for some lovely pictures :-) All in all, we had a wonderful time celebrating with their family and friends. Thanks Tanya and Brian for choosing Shelly Edwards Photography to capture this precious time in your lives! :-)
