This past weekend, I had a very enjoyable experience photographing Mervis and Errol's destination wedding in South Florida. I first spoke with them earlier this year when they found me online. It was an honor that they not only loved my work but trusted me even though they live in Canada. We were grateful for the beautiful weather we had as there has been constant thunderstorms practically every evening here for the past few weeks. Mervis was breathtaking in her elegant dress and had a naturally beautiful smile. Errol was looking dashing and as you will see, they both definitely enjoyed their love at the wedding!
The wedding was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (www.cpwestpalmbeach.com) in West Palm Beach. The vibrant colors there added to the richness of the pictures. After the ceremony, one of my dreams finally came through: I photographed them at the Breaker's Hotel (www.thebreakers.com) on Palm Beach. Back when I would just visit South Florida, a friend took me to Palm Beach island and I was in constant amazement of it's opulence. I remember us driving onto the premises of the Breakers and hurriedly drove off because we were not sure what it was and didn't want to be trespassing. Ever since I became a professional photographer, I've wanted to photograph a wedding couple in front of the building and I finally did! :-)
Thanks Mervis and Errol for giving me the pleasure of sharing in your day. Thanks also to your mom, dad, bridal party, and your friends for making me feel as if I was a part of your family for a day. Have a love and fun filled marriage! :-) Finally, thanks to Michael Adderley for sharing some of the great fine art textures that I used on some of the pictures :-)

Apresh
I am so excited right now! I just got floored by a call from Apresh all the way from England to let me know how much he admires my work!!!! That's HOT!!! Thank you so much :-) Apresh is one of my favorite photographers so I was elated to hear from him. One of my favorite things about photography is the sence of community that it brings where professionals share ideas and help each other grow.
Thanks so much for your comment Jamilah! :-) I am very excited as your wedding approaches as I know you'll be a stunning bride amidst and breathtaking setting! See you soon!
Thanks Yanique for your kind comment :-) You made a beautiful bridesmaid and I look forward to the day you'll find me right to capture you on your big day!
Thanks again everyone for sharing your feedback :-)
Excellent job on the textures....go to the head of the class Grasshopper!
I adore the ring shot you mentioned.
GMike.
Shelly my darling, u have done it again. Mervis was a beautidul bride. I LOVE that pic with the name cards - love esp the effect of fading all others and highlighting one. Sick with it Shelly. I like the Crowne plaza place - simple, elegant, no extravagant decorations needed. That B&W pic with her and dad is sooo beautiful. Frameworthy. Oooohhhh and that second kissing pic - Im still smiling. They are a beautiful couple. Okkkkk Shelly, dream come true and u did it well. Love that briday party pic (1st one). Just perfect. U gots skill my friend :) Shhhhhhhheeeeeeelllllllllyyyyyyy, U r gonna make me cry. I LOVE that pic of the couple's dance. I wanna get married all over again. LOL. Looks like a painting. U r nice Shelly and Im very proud of u.
Thanks Mike for your kind comment!! :-) Who would have known that we would have reconnected a decade later and both love photography? Thanks a million for sharing your time, knowledge and supplies to help me to continue to grow to be the best photographer that I can become!!!! :-)
Teka, Teka, Teka!!! One of the main things that helps me to try to do better each time I shoot is the knowledge that I will be blogging afterwards. It forces me to want to come up with fresh ideas, learn how to edit the pictures to create more of a wow effect, and to touch people's lives with the gift God has graciously given me. I always look forward to Teka's comments as you have been constantly commenting and having my back since you found my site!!! Comments show me that people are not only looking but appreciating the crazy amount of hours I put into editing to make my work stand out. I especially appreciate the fact that it shows that you actually read the mini essays I write to introduce the pictures :-) Thanks for the heart warming and face smiling comments on these pictures and may you continue to fulfill your mission of blessing others! :-)
I love u Shelly. U r the bomb!
Thanks Teka :-) Same to you.
I love the special effects and the quality is superb.
