Yvette and Eric's Wedding (Long Island, New York) SEE MAIN WEBSITE

I've been desiring to post this wedding for a while but it has been so difficult to narrow down the 11 hours of coverage of such an AWESOME wedding!!! My trademark has always been outdoors or tropical themed weddings so I was excited to try a different approach, that of a church and castle themed wedding. Every detail of the wedding was phenomenal, but even more-so was the raw emotions of love, joy, and passion that was often shown in tears and smiles. Yvette and Eric had gone through numerous photographers in person and online but amidst them all, they found me online and chose to hire me to fly to New York for their wedding. The ceremony was held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bronx, NY and the reception was held at Sand Castle Caterers (www.sandcastlecaterers.com). The church was so cute, quaint, and intimate which matched perfectly with the mood of the wedding. Sand Castle Caterers undoubtedly gets an A+++ due to the beauty of the location but even more for the EXCELLENT customer service that they provided! We were assigned 5 attendants that did a wonderful job of treating us (including me :-)) like royalty for the day. We didn't have to ask them for anything as they instinctively knew what we wanted and moved a huge floral arrangement for some shots and even gladly helped Yvette up to lay on the piano! Yvette and Eric, I enjoyed every moment of your special day and I am very happy for the both of you as I know that you really love each other. Thanks again for choosing Shelly Edwards Photography and do have a wonderful marriage!

Simone and Nassive (Long Island, New York) SEE MAIN WEBSITE

The day finally came and it was spectacular!! I came to know Simone and Nassive from a referral from their event planner, Carine St. Jean of Spectacular Affairs (www.spectacularaffairs.com). But little did I know that during the time of their engagement at least 3 other random people highly recommended that they use me! Thanks Alecia, Tashoy, and Terrence! I guess we were destined to work together! :-) I first came across Carine's fabulous gift of event planning at one of the most amazing weddings that I have ever been to before I became a professional photographer: the wedding of Andrea and Theo. I was definitely looking forward to seeing Simone and Nassive's wedding at the tropically inspired, Woodbury Country Club (www.woodburycc.com)! Their engagement pictures are some of my favorites and I was looking forward to working on their wedding pictures. The day came for their breathtaking outdoor wedding and we were met by rain and hail the entire day with a few breaks. Simone and Nassive were AWESOME as they looked at it as showers of blessings and their love and smiles became the sun glowing all day long! Future brides, do take note as something always goes unexpected at a wedding and your attitude makes a world of a difference in your pictures. Having Carine and her team on hand surely helped too! Simone looked amazing in one of my favorite wedding looks: flowers in the hair and a mermaid dress! Nassive looked dapper and obviously was enjoying himself! I loved the details chosen such shells, butterflies, chocolate covered strawberries, a violin quartet, and down to the color of the bridesmaids' dresses: salmon after Simone's last name, Salmon.

You can view their wedding slide show by going to my main website: www.shellyedwards.com Click on Weddings and Collections. Their wedding is the first one in that category. I chose to edit it showcasing the beauty of color but also featuring their love for the antique. It has been a sincere pleasure working with everyone and I pray only the best for your marriage Mr. and Mrs. Nembhard! :-)
