Annika and Sheldon's Engagement Session (Florida)

This past Friday, I had an amazing time photographing Annika and Sheldon's engagement photo shoot in Florida. It has been on my wish list to have a photography session on a railroad track but never knew where I could do it. When I suggested the idea to Sheldon and Annika they were excited about the idea and had thought of it themselves before. To top it off, Annika knew of a location from one of her previous professional modeling assignments and that is where we spent our afternoon on Friday! :-) It has definitely been a pleasure working with Sheldon and Annika because we were both looking for a unique shoot and we came up with great ideas for the wardrobe, hairstyle, and makeup to match the era of the 1930's to 1940's when the depot, streamlined railcars, caboose, and steam engine we used for the shoot were created.

The main website is cram full so I will start using a new external slideshow for this and some future shoots. TO VIEW ANNIKA AND SHELDON'S SLIDESHOW CLICK ON THIS LINK or the link below. Do enjoy! Thanks Annika and Sheldon for being such great clients and I'm looking forward to capturing your big day!

Fun in a Photo booth

I am in the process of editing and preparing the pictures for an engagement photo shoot I did this past Friday. As many of you realize by now, I do spend some time researching the background information on the era or theme of the sessions that I do. For part of Annika and Sheldon's session we pretended to have a photo booth experience. I just came across this site with a video showcasing a comedic prank CNBC television station did at a photo booth and I was cracking up! :-) Do enjoy while I go back to work :-)

Happy New Year!!!

Wow, it is the beginning of a new year: 2009! I just finished spending the first 20 minutes of the year watching the fireworks display in downtown West Palm Beach and other areas of the city from my living room balcony. I decided to take a few shots to share my experience with you. I wish each of you only the best for the new year as we anticipate what it has in stored!

Happy New Year from Shelly Edwards Photography!!! :-)
