Jermaine, Jhanica, and Joelle Family Photo Shoot (New York)

This past Monday I had the distinct pleasure of photographing the Nugent family. Jermaine was my classmate in high school and was known as a comedian and actor. You might recognize him (and his smile) from the hit Jamaican movie, Dancehall Queen which featured Beenie Man. Jermaine has since become one of my best friends in recent years. I was happy when he hired me to photograph his family as they are so beautiful inside and out. We had tuns of fun and laughs. It was difficult to narrow down which pictures to post on my blog as there were so many great ones to choose from. It was great meeting you Jhanica and baby Joelle and keep the fire of your love alive. Do enjoy the pictures.

Last Sunday, I also met with Yvette and Eric in New York at their wedding reception location, Sand Castle. I was impressed with the sheer beauty and grandeur of this cinderella fantasy location. I definately look forward to shooting their wedding. Yvette and Eric are a great, friendly couple that found me online. I am pleased to have been chosen and look forward to capturing breathtaking pictures of your wedding. Below are a few of the headshots taken for their invitation. Do enjoy.

Simone and Nassive Engagement Photo Shoot (New York)

This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of meeting Simone and Nassive in New York. They are a lovely couple. Thanks to Carine Saint-Jean of Spectacular Affairs (www.spectacularaffairs.com) for the referral. Carine is an awesome event planner and I recommend her to you without hesitation. During our consultation with the couple, I was asked to take a few pictures of them in a photojournalistic style for their Save-the-Date cards. The full engagement shoot will be in Spring. They wanted the pictures done in a location that I had shot a previous couple's session (Nadia and James). I agreed and the next day I scouted out the location for new ideas before I met them in the evening. The photos that follow are some of the great pictures that we captured. As you will see, I have started to apply more fine art effects to my pictures. They are great for canvas and large size display prints. Thanks again Simone and Nassive for choosing Shelly Edwards Photography and I look forward to seeing you again soon. Stay tuned for more photos from other couples from my busy stay in New York.
