Annika and Sheldon's Engagement Session (Florida)

This past Friday, I had an amazing time photographing Annika and Sheldon's engagement photo shoot in Florida. It has been on my wish list to have a photography session on a railroad track but never knew where I could do it. When I suggested the idea to Sheldon and Annika they were excited about the idea and had thought of it themselves before. To top it off, Annika knew of a location from one of her previous professional modeling assignments and that is where we spent our afternoon on Friday! :-) It has definitely been a pleasure working with Sheldon and Annika because we were both looking for a unique shoot and we came up with great ideas for the wardrobe, hairstyle, and makeup to match the era of the 1930's to 1940's when the depot, streamlined railcars, caboose, and steam engine we used for the shoot were created.

The main website is cram full so I will start using a new external slideshow for this and some future shoots. TO VIEW ANNIKA AND SHELDON'S SLIDESHOW CLICK ON THIS LINK or the link below. Do enjoy! Thanks Annika and Sheldon for being such great clients and I'm looking forward to capturing your big day!

Fun in a Photo booth

I am in the process of editing and preparing the pictures for an engagement photo shoot I did this past Friday. As many of you realize by now, I do spend some time researching the background information on the era or theme of the sessions that I do. For part of Annika and Sheldon's session we pretended to have a photo booth experience. I just came across this site with a video showcasing a comedic prank CNBC television station did at a photo booth and I was cracking up! :-) Do enjoy while I go back to work :-)

Happy New Year!!!

Wow, it is the beginning of a new year: 2009! I just finished spending the first 20 minutes of the year watching the fireworks display in downtown West Palm Beach and other areas of the city from my living room balcony. I decided to take a few shots to share my experience with you. I wish each of you only the best for the new year as we anticipate what it has in stored!

Happy New Year from Shelly Edwards Photography!!! :-)

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday! :-) May it be filled with love, joy, and laughter :-) Thanks to each of you for the gift of your love, kind comments, and support throughout the year! I updated the Testimonial section of the main website (www.shellyedwards.com) with the kind thoughts that clients have shared with me throughout the year. Below are 2 cards that one of my clients, Candy personally made for my birthday recently with layers of beautiful paper, wire, and sequins. Yes, I know that blog post was due a while ago but better late than never :-) It goes though to show how blessed I am with a wonderful set of clients and well wishers. Feel free to contact Candy O Designs at 718-432-6385 for your personal card creations; they are fabulous! May you too take time out to thank others for being a wonderful part of your lives, better late than never :-)

Happy holidays!!!!!

Lovingly,

Shelly Edwards, Photographer

Mae and Tad's Maternity Session (Palm Beach Island, Florida)

Last week Sunday, I had the pleasure of meeting Mae and Tad again at the same private beach on Palm Beach Island that I photographed their wedding during July this year. You will also remember them from Carly and Branch's wedding in November this year. They are a wonderful couple and we have started to feel more like family :-) They were awesome during their photo session because even though the strong wind was great for pictures, it was still chilly. However, their love for each other shone beyond the chill! So far, this might be my last shoot for this year and how fitting that during this Christmas season we celebrate the beautiful blessing of children. Maternity and infant photography evokes various emotions in me such as awe, joy, solemnity, romance, and love. In the following pictures, I captured and edited them with those emotions in mind. Happy holiday season everyone!!! :-)
